As part of a delegation trip by Leitbetriebe Austria, the HELDECO management team was in Japan – with stops in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. The occasion was Expo 2025, which focused on future topics such as digitalisation, sustainability, mobility, and social innovation.
The visit offered fascinating insights into one of the present day's greatest economic powers: „Japan is a completely different world! The trip was a valuable opportunity to establish international contacts, learn new ways of thinking and recognise technological trends relevant to our own future development".“, says Sabine Dettenweitz, who represented HELDECO together with Helmut Dettenweitz.
The trip began with a reception at the Austrian Embassy in Tokyo, followed by numerous meetings with businesspeople from Japan – for instance, at Nippon Plasser or JTI – as well as a meeting with the Minister of State for Economic Security, Minoru Kiuchi (pictured above).
