HELDECO is investing around €150,000 in a modern, sustainable heating system.
At HELDECO, the strategic alliance between economy and ecology is more than just lip service. To this end, we have recently invested around 150,000 euros in converting our heating system from liquefied petroleum gas to district heating. The source of the thermal energy is a regional heating plant in the immediate vicinity of the company location, which utilises the waste heat from a drying plant.
Simply through this technological modernisation, we can save around 75 tonnes of CO2 annually with immediate effect. Just as a comparison: that corresponds to the CO2 emissions of about 20 detached houses per year. The fact that economic efficiency and an ecological approach do not automatically have to be contradictory is also proven by the payback period of this future-oriented investment: according to our forecasts, the transition is expected to pay for itself within six years.
