The €1.2 million expansion of social and office spaces at HELDECO is in full swing.
The social rooms have been stripped down and largely demolished, the existing administrative building has already been extended by one storey and also widened: With the shell already standing, the rooms are beginning to take shape (more details on this here).

The premises, which are currently undergoing renovation, have been temporarily housed in containers – but an end is already in sight: "Despite the many rainy days, we are still fully on track. All construction steps have proceeded according to plan to date. It still looks good that we can meet the ambitious schedule, which provides for completion in October," explains CEO Helmut Dettenweitz. Chipping work will begin as early as July. Electrical wiring will then be laid and water and heating pipes installed.
In total, office and social areas will be expanded by 800 square metres. On the first floor, alongside two inviting staff terraces on the north and south sides, there will be new sanitary and changing facilities for male employees. For female employees, showers and changing rooms will be created in the revitalised ground floor. The storage area will also be enlarged. "This investment primarily aims to offer our employees a comfortable and pleasant place to retreat to during their breaks. These improvements will help our staff to refresh and relax after a strenuous shift," says Dettenweitz.
